Pitching the Perfect Game
Morgan Bowers, a senior Honors College student from Whitehouse, Ohio, is nearing the end of 鈥減itching鈥 a perfect game. As an economics major with a minor in data analytics, Morgan will graduate a year early in the spring of 2022, having only attended 妖姬直播 State University for three years to earn her鈥Student Trustee Dylan Mace Recognized by 妖姬直播 State University Board of Trustees and Fraternal Association
Leadership roles in the Interfraternity Council and Delta Tau Delta Fraternity served as preparation for Dylan Mace's service on the 妖姬直播 State Board of Trustees when Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine appointed him in July 2020. Mace鈥檚 two-year term, in which he served as a member of the Board鈥檚 Academic Excellence and Student Success Committee and the Finance and Administration Committee, will expire May 16, 2022.
THE FINAL STRETCH: SENIOR HONORS THESIS/PROJECT AND THE DEFENSE
From beginning the thesis process, to starting research, to the final oral defense and end results, students take approximately three semesters to complete a thesis in its entirety for the Senior Honors Thesis/Project. In an impressive close to her undergraduate career, 妖姬直播 State University Honors College senior Mallory Woods was recently awarded the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Award (ETA). A native of Fairview, Pennsylvania, Woods is completing a major in translation with a Spanish concentration and minors in economics and Italian studies while also finishing a certificate program in teaching English as a foreign language.
Understanding Impacts on LGBTQIA+ Communities from the COVID-19 Pandemic
Moira Armstrong, undergraduate in the College of Arts and Sciences and research assistant on the Queer Pandemic Project, collaborated with Molly Merryman, associate professor in the School of Peace and Conflict Studies, to compile digital, video-based oral interviews for the Queer Pandemic Project in a partnership between 妖姬直播 State University, Goldsmith鈥檚 University of London and Queer Britain. These interviews feature people in queer communities across the United Kingdom, discussing the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has impacted their lives as queer people.

The National Collegiate Honors Council has announced 妖姬直播 State University Honors College graduate Sarah Hagglund as a 2021 Portz Scholar. Hagglund is the 10th honors student from 妖姬直播 State to be named a Portz Scholar since the national competition began in 1990.
