Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Junior Jasmine McCulley Joins Team USA for World Twirling Championships
For most of her life, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State junior visual communication design major Jasmine McCulley, has built her identity around community, the arts and competition, whether through The Touch of Gold Twirlers or competitive baton twirling. Sixteen years after she first picked up a baton, she will represent Team USA this August in Paris at the IBTF World Competition.

Originally from Vaughan, Ontario, Emma Klein made the transition to Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University not only for academic excellence but also for personal growth and a collegiate sports experience. Now in her sophomore year, she is a part of the Honors College, a member of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Division I women’s soccer team, and is a member of Phi Delta Epsilon.

Women’s Basketball Head Coach Todd Starkey Departing, Fran Recchia Named Seventh Head Coach
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Vice President and Director of Athletics Randale L. Richmond announced that women's basketball head coach Todd Starkey will depart for another coaching opportunity and is naming associate head coach Fran Recchia as the program's seventh head coach.
Golden Flashes to Play in NIT
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Men's Basketball (24-19) has punched their ticket to the 2026 National Invitation Tournament. The Golden Flashes will play on the road at Illinois State University on Wednesday, March 18. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. This following a strong season that saw the blue and gold reach the Mid-American Conference Tournament semifinal.

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Men's Basketball team's run to a MAC Championship came to an end, as the team fell to Akron 75-68 in the MAC Semifinals in Cleveland, Ohio.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State lost to top-seeded Miami, 65-58, in a Mid-American Conference Women's Basketball Tournament quarterfinal contest at Rocket Arena on Wednesday.

Lou Holtz, a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University alumnus who became one of college football's most successful and charismatic coaches, leading the University of Notre Dame to a national championship and six different programs to bowl games during his storied career, has died. He was 89.
