Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University recently welcomed home a living legacy of its past when Ellen Engleman Conners, former chair of the National Transportation Safety Board and great-granddaughter of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s third president, visited campus for the first time.

As part of the John and Fonda Elliot Design Innovation Faculty Fellowship, VCD professor Hadi Rahmati partnered with Computer Science assistant professor Raiful Hasan to improve how self-driving cars communicate with pedestrians.

Mary Kay Cabot's career covering Cleveland sports began with a simple internship at The Plain Dealer while she was a student at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University. More than 40 years later, that internship has led to the highest honor in professional football journalism.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State continues to excel in hands-on learning, as shown by the ESPN+ livestream broadcast of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Men’s Basketball team’s victory over the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Produced entirely by digital media production undergraduates in the School of Media and Journalism, what could have been a chaotic, high-profile evening was business as usual. 

A team of four students from the School of Emerging Media and Technology in the Interdisciplinary Projects course pioneered the use of Depthkit 3D video at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State and created an engaging dance video in collaboration with the School of Theatre and Dance and Design Innovation.
