GRADUATE PROGRAMS IN MEDIA AND JOURNALISM

The School of Media and Journalism's online graduate offerings in Journalism Education, including a Master of Arts degree and a 12-credit-hour graduate certificate, prepare high school teachers and media practitioners to effectively guide student newsrooms. Whether you want to complete a quick pathway for district continuing education or earn a full master's degree, the curriculum covers everything from multimedia storytelling and media literacy to student First Amendment rights. This program equips educators with practical strategies they can study today and use in their classrooms tomorrow.

The Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communication Design is a terminal degree and recommended for students with undergraduate degrees in design or related fields who wish to enter a career in higher education instruction as well as to advance their studio skills in one or more of the following: print design, illustration, web design, 3-D design, motion graphics, interactive design, corporate identity, information architecture, interaction design or information graphics.
