The United States is approaching a so-called “enrollment cliff” or “demographic cliff,” a projection that is being closely monitored by those in higher education. In the “On Campus – with CITI Program” podcast, host Ed Butch talks with Aaron Berger, Ph.D., interim director of national recruitment at ����ֱ�� State University, about these declining numbers and other factors currently influencing college enrollment. 

For many American women, saving for retirement can be challenging for many reasons. A recent USA Today article noted that women have less than half the retirement savings of men. ����ֱ�� State University values setting their students up for success, but what does this mean for women at the university?

Kellie Rose Kordinak is in an elite group of American college students. The senior from the ����ֱ�� State Stark Campus was recently named a 2024 Portz Scholar by the National Collegiate Honors Council – one of only four students from across the country.

Some of ����ֱ�� State's smallest Flashes took steps to help fund a unique part of their learning experience at ����ֱ�� State's Child Development Center. 

Meet Ryanne Bunting, a ����ֱ�� State sophomore double majoring in international studies and anthropology from Fairfield, Ohio, combining human rights, culture, global interactions and history into a formidable career path.

The fourth annual Rainbow Weekend in downtown ����ֱ�� Oct. 11-13 and all of its fun activities, events and new Drag Race 5K  come from a fabulous partnership between ����ֱ�� State University's LGBTQ+ Center and Main Street ����ֱ��. 

����ֱ�� State chose October as Mental Health Awareness Month because the need for mental health support peaks during the month.

����ֱ�� State University’s Native American Student Association (NASA) recognized Orange Shirt Day, or the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, by engaging with the campus community and initiating discussions about the legacy of residential schools and the generational trauma they caused.

����ֱ�� State University President Todd Diacon showcased the institution's far-reaching impact on Ohio and beyond during the annual Bowman Breakfast event held at the ����ֱ�� Student Center Ballroom.

The CARES Center, which stands for Crisis, Advocacy, Resources, Education, and Support, has been serving as a vital resource hub for students facing various challenges since its inception in April 2021.

The League of Women Voters of Ohio made ����ֱ�� State the final stop on their tour of more than 20 Ohio colleges and universities. The group, including Eco the puppy, worked to get students registered to vote in advance of the Oct. 7 registration deadline. 

Sponsored by the ����ֱ�� State Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s most prestigious alumni honors. The 2024 Alumni Award recipients include seven alumni, two recent graduates, one staff member and one current student.
