May 4 Commemoration Offers Many Virtual Events for Participation

Members of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University community and people around the world will gather virtually for the 51st Commemoration of May 4, 1970, the day the Ohio National Guard fired on Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State students during an anti-war protest, killing four and wounding nine others.

Virtual Events Promote Peace, Anti-Racism as Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Marks the Annual Commemoration of May 4, 1970

To honor and remember the events that occurred on May 4, 1970, virtual events and exhibits hosted by Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University students, faculty and staff are scheduled from April 30 through May 4. The virtual events include several powerful speakers and events that promote peace and anti-racism and educate future students about the legacy of May 4, 1970.

Governor Names Pamela E. Bobst to Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Board of Trustees

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Pamela E. Bobst of Rocky River, Ohio, to the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Board of Trustees. She succeeds former Board Chair and Trustee Ralph M. Della Ratta, and she will serve through May 16, 2030.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Awarded $3.5 Million Choose Ohio First Grants

The state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Higher Education announced that Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University has been awarded Choose Ohio First grants totaling $3.5 million to support students in the critical fields of science (including health professions), technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
