Peggy Shadduck is vice president for Regional Campuses and dean of the College of Applied and Technical Studies. She serves as the senior officer responsible for overall leadership of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Regional Campus system. Her role promotes student enrollment and academic success and is responsible for expanding the visibility, influence and effectiveness of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State as a catalyst for regional development.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Board of Trustees Approves Establishing New Bachelor of Social Work Degree

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s Regional Campuses.  The program will be offered on the Ashtabula, Salem and Tuscarawas campuses.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University alumnus Earl K. Miller, Ph.D., and his wife, Marlene M. Wicherski, have pledged $2 million to support research programs and students in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s Brain Health Research Institute. The Brain Health Research Institute is a recently established, cross-disciplinary institute that focuses on research and education of brain health across the lifespan.
