The first full week of fall is also the most spirited week at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University. The week of Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 is Spirit Week and includes homecoming weekend at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State. The week will be full of events celebrating Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State spirit.

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Board of Trustees welcomed the Class of 2026 at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Sept. 21 at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Airport. Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s freshman class began classes on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus nearly 7% larger than the previous year with 4,251 students – the eighth largest incoming class in the university’s 112-year history.

Researchers Gather LGBTQ+ Stories of Resilience During the Pandemic

Molly Merryman, Ph.D., associate professor in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, and Lauren Vachon, assistant professor in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s LGBTQ studies program and coordinator of the LGBTQ studies minor program, were instrumental in obtaining a $35,000 grant from the U.S. Department of State for the project Resilience During the Pandemic: LGBTQ+ Stories.
