SURE Fellows Present Eight Weeks of Research in Three Minutes and a Slide

On Oct. 21-22 the 178 students who conducted research under the direction of faculty mentors had to condense eight weeks of research down to three minutes and a slide. The winners were announced on Oct. 25 during a ceremony at the Kiva auditorium.

Honoring Contributors and Students in Crawford Hall’s Success

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ 10 years ago, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s business college was told it would need a certain amount of philanthropic support before a new building project could be entertained. At the time, it seemed an incredibly daunting task, until Ambassador Edward F. Crawford and his family stepped in to complete the college’s capital campaign with the largest single gift in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University history.

Every Wednesday, It's a Treasure Hunt

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University's Surplus Store, located on E.Main Street offers a variety of useful items including furniture, electronics, office supplies and a fascinating selection of antique maps and books, with many books that are more than 100 years old. The store is a reflection of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's commitment to sustainable practices and disposing of items that are no longer needed by the university.

‘Get to Know’ the Golden Flashes Becoming the New Faces of the University

The new "Get to Know Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State" video from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Admissions features 14 students from across the university inviting curious potential Golden Flashes to take a virtual look into the campus. Not only do these Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State narrators spotlight the university’s global opportunities and local highlights, but they also had a great time doing it.

Increased activity in the sun's solar winds and the earth's magnetic field has produced appearances by the northern lights  in regions where they are not typically visible - like the skies above the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus. A Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State photographer captured spectacular images of the display.

Three Minute Thesis is an opportunity for graduate students to put their academic, presentation, and research communication skills to the test by presenting research in three minutes to a non-specialist audience.
