Scanning the Past: Library to Digitize Fashion Sketchbooks of Acclaimed Designer

New York couturière designer Pauline Trigère, whose career spanned more than five decades, left behind a legacy of fashion innovation meticulously preserved in volumes of sketchbooks and press clippings. Those volumes have had a home at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Libraries since 1993 and soon will be accessible to everyone.

Learning Through the Lens of History

While Alison Caplan grew up in nearby Akron, Ohio, and has spent time in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥, when she joined the university as the new director of the May 4 Visitors Center in July, she began to see, and understand, the campus in a whole new light. Caplan is part of a group of Golden Flashes that Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Today will be following for the 2023-24 academic year.
