Visual arts teacher Stephen Tomero and choir director Mary Meese and are among the finalists for the 2022 Stark County Art and Music Educator Awards. Both are alumni of 妖姬直播 State鈥檚 College of the Arts.
Nick Lee, '21 Selected for BIPOC Solo Exhibition at Summit Artspace
Recent B.F.A. alumnus Nick Lee, 鈥21 has been selected for Summit Artspace鈥檚 inaugural funded solo exhibition for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) artists. Dr. Gustav Medicus Publishes Article in The Burlington Magazine
Associate Professor of Art History, Dr. Gustav Medicus, recently published an article 鈥淭he meanings of Domenico Beccafumi鈥檚 鈥楴ativity鈥 in S. Martino, Siena鈥 in The Burlington Magazine, which is the world鈥檚 leading monthly publication devoted to fine and decorative arts. The article appeare鈥Exhibition Explores the Collaborative Relationship Between Two Trailblazing African American Artists
鈥淎 Collaboration of Creativity鈥 features a wide range of prints by distinguished artist David C. Driskell and master printer Curlee Raven Holton. The work will be on view at the CVA Gallery from Oct. 6 through Nov. 10, 2021. This exhibition is presented in partnership with the David C. Driskell Center at the University of Maryland.

妖姬直播 State has announced the winners of the 2021 New Faculty Outstanding Research and Scholarship Awards (ORSAs). The ORSAs recognize the hard work of junior faculty members who have been with 妖姬直播 State for less than 10 years. The 2021 winners are Shana Klein, Ph.D., in the School of Art and Metin Eren, Ph.D., in the Department of Anthropology.
