Marvin L. Logan Jr., ’15
Marvin L. Logan Jr., ’15, knew at 13 years old that he wanted to run a nonprofit that would change lives and make communities stronger. As a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State student, he developed his leadership skills as president of Undergraduate Student Government and Black United Students, competed as a student-athlete and honed his storytelling craft through student media. Seven years after graduating, he’s living his childhood dream and inspiring other children to dream big as well.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Celebrates Its Newest Graduates With Fall Commencement Ceremonies
The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University alumni family grew by more than 2,500 new graduates as the university held its fall Commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Fall Class of 2022 were recognized with in-person ceremonies for all colleges and degrees on Dec. 17.

This November, members of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University community joined together to shine their light on philanthropy. During the November campaign, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s Giving Tuesday raised $3.6 million, marking the sixth year it has brought in more than $1 million to support scholarships and programs across Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s eight-campus system.

Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University alumnus Earl Miller, Ph.D., a leading cognitive neuroscientist, and his wife Marlene Wicherski were recognized at the university’s 10th Annual Neuroscience Symposium, for their $2 million commitment to support research programs and students in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s Brain Health Research Institute.
