The total number of students involved in Fraternity and Sorority Life organizations has reached more than 2,000 for the first time in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University history. Fraternity and Sorority Life oversees opportunities for involvement in these student groups and works closely with the Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council and the Integrated Greek Council.
A total of 2,228 students are involved with Fraternity and Sorority Life at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State, which is up from last spring’s total of 1,950 members.

Ye Zhao is associate professor of computer science in the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on physically based simulation and visualization, natural phenomena modeling, general purpose computing using graphics hardware, and information visualization and visual analytics.

The groundbreaking for Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s new Integrated Sciences Building was held Oct. 2 from 2-5 p.m. The event was free and open to the public. Following the groundbreaking, Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s College of Arts and Sciences hosted a showcase of science and technology demonstrations, along with refreshments, music and fun, on the Student Green. Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State President Beverly Warren and James Blank, Ph.D., dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State, spoke at the event.

The Glenn H. Brown Liquid Crystal Institute® and the College of Arts and Sciences at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University hosted a 50th anniversary celebration of the institute on Friday, Sept. 25, in the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Student Center Kiva on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus. The event kicked off a yearlong celebration that will culminate with the International Liquid Crystal Conference (ILCC) at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus on July 31-Aug. 5, 2016.

The Aeronautics Department from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology will host its 19th Aviation Heritage Fair on Saturday, Sept. 19. The event is from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Andrew W. Paton Field at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University Airport, located at 4020 Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Road in Stow, Ohio.

The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Student Center, Center for Student Involvement and Intercollegiate Athletics cordially invite students, faculty and staff to enjoy a week of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State spirit to start the academic year.
The events are meant to be fun, interactive and casual. Each day will feature some free food and giveaways. In addition, our beloved mascot, Flash, and some players, coaches and cheerleaders will be there.

Blue and Gold Pride Days are back at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University! Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university are encouraged to promote university spirit and pride by wearing blue and gold colors.
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State introduced Blue and Gold Pride Days last fall as a way to unite members of the university community and promote Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State pride. The tradition continues at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State this fall, beginning Friday, Sept. 4, which happens to be College Colors Day, and continues through the school year.
