Pre-Health Advising

Get Started, Get Involved.

Pre-Health advising is supplemental support that enhances your undergraduate education. While your faculty advisor helps with your major requirements, the Pre-Health advisor focuses on:

  • Healthcare career exploration and planning
  • Course and major selection aligned with professional school goals
  • Professional school preparation, including requirements and entrance exams
  • Academic planning and transcript review
  • Co-curricular experiences such as research, clinical work and volunteering
  • Application guidance, including personal statements and interview preparation

What to Expect in Your First Meeting

  • Discussion of your healthcare interests and goals
  • Review of your academic plan
  • Overview of prerequisites and requirements
  • Introduction to co-curricular opportunities
  • Development of your personalized timeline
