The Spirit of UC Award is an opportunity for you to honor some of the great work you witness every day among your colleagues.

Eligibility

All University College employees, including Graduate Assistants and Graduate Hourly employees, are eligible to both nominate colleagues and receive The Spirit of UC Award. UC Dean and Associate Deans are not eligible to receive the award. In February of each year, one Graduate Assistant is recognized with a dedicated Spirit of UC Award in addition to the staff recipient.

Highlights of The Spirit of UC Award

• Only nominations submitted during the current award cycle will be considered. Nominations from previous quarters do not carry forward; however, previous nominees may be re-nominated in a subsequent quarter.
• The past three (3) winners will review nominations and select the winner.
• Award recipients will serve as the official keeper of The Spirit of UC Award trophy and receive a framed certificate.
• The Dean will announce and present the award during the February and September college-wide meetings.
• Winners will have their photo taken during the award presentation and will receive a special token of recognition from the Dean.
• Individuals who receive The Spirit of UC Award are not eligible to receive the award again for one calendar year.
• Anonymous nominations and self-nominations will not be accepted.
