'Defying Gravity' On The Science Corridor

A drone training exercise on campus includes a flying witch For Halloween

A Halloween mood was in the air and so was a small witch in the skies above Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus last week.

The drone-lifted witch was guided by Amy Altruz, a member of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's undergraduate class of 2025, who is currently continuing her education as a graduate student in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's College of Aeronautics and Engineering

Alrutz is working with Jason Lorenzon, J.D., assistant professor and lead faculty for Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Operations program through an FAA workforce development grant. This special Halloween-themed drone flight was part of a demonstration for the three-day "Train the Trainer" workshop.
