Tankersley, Hylton Discuss Ways Students Can Be Successful and Stay Connected During Remote Learning
Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Interim Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley, Ph.D., and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs Lamar R. Hylton, Ph.D., discussed ways that students can make the most of remote classes while still benefiting from student services during a recent appearance on Facebook Live. Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University held its annual Veterans Day Commemoration on Thursday, Nov. 7, in the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Student Center Kiva. This year’s guest speaker was Lt. Col. Colleen VanNatta. A graduate of Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s Air Force ROTC detachment, VanNatta served as a media escort for joint information bureaus in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Storm.

More than 1,000 volunteers from the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University community welcomed and assisted new students as they moved into their residence halls on freshman move-in day, Sunday, Aug. 18. The annual community program, known as Movers and Groovers, is coordinated by Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Interhall Council, the student government of the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Campus residence halls.
