Call for nominations: President's Award of Distinction
Nominations are now open for the President’s Award of Distinction, recognizing staff members who have demonstrated exceptional performance in advancing Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s strategic goals. Nominations are accepted from peers, supervisors, faculty, students and other university leaders. The deadline to submit nominations is April 16, 2026. Each award recipient will receive $1,500 in recognition of their contributions. Nominations can be submitted on the President’s Award of Distinction website. Questions?
Register for Relay for Life
Relay for Life is approaching and you can still sign up to join our team: KSU Employees United Against Cancer. Relay for Life is April 11-12 at the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Field House. Registration is $25 (20% off with code TUESDAY on Tuesdays). Participating in all 24 hours of the event is encouraged, but you do not have to be available for the entirety of the event to participate. If you are interested in participating or fundraising for the cause, join our team.
Apply today to be a Group Flight Leader for the KSU Florence Program
The Office of Global Education is seeking qualified faculty and staff to serve as Group Flight Leaders for the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Florence program. As a Group Flight Leader, you would provide guidance and support to students who are traveling to Florence for the semester or summer study abroad programs. In addition, Group Flight Leaders support students on-site in Florence during the orientation process prior to the official start of classes. KSU Retirees Association presentation
The KSU Retirees Association invites all faculty and staff, retired or not, to attend their next presentation on Wednesday, March 11, from 3-5 p.m. in the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Free Library. They will host Behind the Scenes of a Sports Broadcast: A Look at the Complexities Involved in a Telecast, by Paul Richey, Youngstown State University. This presentation will describe and show the multi-camera coverage used by televised sportscasts. It also will describe what each crew member does and what roles Paul has had as a member of the broadcast crew as a veteran freelance sports broadcaster.
