Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University unveiled the first full-size statue of baseball legend Thurman Munson, honoring the former Yankees captain and university alumnus who died in a plane crash at the height of his career.The bronze statue, commissioned through private donations, was dedicated at a ceremony at Schoonover Stadium, where Munson once played college baseball before becoming one of Major League Baseball's most accomplished catchers."For me, this is a day where we celebrate excellence.   In "Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ucky," an older sister living in New York City travels back to her family in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ucky to try to stop her younger sister's wedding.   This unique coming-of-age story touches on themes of identity, religion and love.   "Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ucky," directed by Courtney Brown, associate professor of voice and acting, kicks off the 2025-2026 Main Stage Season in Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State's School of Theatre and Dance and is presented by arrangement with Dramatists Play Service.
