Educators, scientists and technologists from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, ����ֱ�� State University and Cleveland Metroparks have partnered to develop a new learning app to educate park visitors as they run, hike and bike through the parks. 

����ֱ�� State University has been named a 2016 Gold Level Recipient of the American Heart Association’s Fit-Friendly Worksites recognition program.

Congratulations to the following faculty members who are receiving tenure:

Gary Hanson, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, has been named the recipient of the 2016 Edward L. Bliss Award for Distinguished Broadcast Journalism Education.

����ֱ�� State University has named Nathan Ritchey, Ph.D., as its new vice president for ����ֱ�� State System Integration. Ritchey was selected following a national search. He currently serves at Edinboro University as vice president for strategic initiatives and founding dean of the College of Science and Health Professions. He joins ����ֱ�� State on July 1. 

����ֱ�� State University's Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Todd Diacon has announced that Mandy Munro-Stasiuk, Ph.D., has been selected as associate provost for academic affairs, effective June 1, 2016.

Please note that beginning July 1, there will be several changes regarding Mail Services operations. 

First, the department will have new hours, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., which means Mail Services will open and close a half-hour later than before.

The change also means that many departmental delivery and pick-up times will be a half-hour later than normal, but the new schedule will better align with the U.S. Post Office hours and the university’s business hours.
