Philosophy of Early Childhood Education

The ECE program is conceptualized and enacted to support preservice and inservice teachers to be Critical Educators/Teacher Learners. Through the lenses of social justice and international mindedness, our graduates put theory into practice in these areas:

Graduates meet KSU domains for teacher competency (NAEYC/CAEP) and Ohio teacher performance domains (ODE), as well as the values reflected in the . Through our accredited program, graduates are licensed by the State of Ohio and hold the IB Certificate for Teaching and Learning in Primary Years Program (PYP).
