Modista Fashion Organization
Modista Fashion Organization is a student-led creative community at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University dedicated to bringing people together through fashion. Built around the idea of “Made Together,” Modista creates a space where students with different interests, skills, and levels of experience can connect, collaborate, and become more involved in the fashion community. We believe that fashion is created through collaboration, and there is a place for everyone within the industry.
Modista welcomes students interested in all areas of fashion and creativity, including design, styling, modeling, photography, social media, production, merchandising, creative direction, and more. Members do not need prior experience or a fashion-related major to participate. Our goal is to give students opportunities to explore their interests, meet other creatives, develop new skills, and turn their ideas into real experiences.
Throughout the year, Modista hosts creative workshops, social events, professional development opportunities, collaborations, and community-centered activities that allow members to actively participate rather than simply attend meetings. One of our largest initiatives is our student fashion show, which brings together designers, models, stylists, photographers, producers, and other creatives to develop a collaborative production from concept to runway.
More than anything, Modista is about building community. We want students to find their people in fashion, share their individual perspectives, and feel encouraged to contribute creatively. By creating opportunities for students to work together and learn from one another, Modista aims to build a stronger, more connected fashion community at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State.
