2025-2026 FAFSA Form
The online FAFSA form is available to all students and families, and the Department is processing submissions and sending them to schools. The paper form is also now available for students to submit.
2026-2027 FAFSA Form officially opens Oct. 1, 2025
The 2026–27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form is in beta for early testing and will be available to everyone by Oct. 1, 2025. Students can request to join the beta testing and complete the FAFSA early to the beta.
Regardless of when a student chooses to file, the FAFSA only needs to be submitted once. Filing the FAFSA as soon as possible, through the Beta version or after the official launch, helps students receive the maximum amount of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and work-study.

No matter what your family’s financial circumstances are, we can help you find a way to manage college costs. The staff in our Financial Aid Office works with students and their families to help make a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Ashtabula education affordable through grants, loans, campus employment, and scholarship opportunities.
With low tuition rates, a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Ashtabula education is within your reach. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available beginning October 1st of each year. By filing the FAFSA by the priority filing deadline of March 1st, you will be considered for the maximum amount of aid for which you are eligible. Eighty-five percent of all Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Ashtabula students receive some form of financial assistance from federal, state and institutional aid programs.
Students wishing to meet with a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Ashtabula financial aid specialist will need to schedule an appointment, or on a walk-in basis during posted hours (see chart to right). Students are welcome to call the office during regular office hours to have their questions answered, or they may e-mail their questions to any of the financial aid staff members.
