Past Distinguished Advisor Award Recipients
Sponsored by University Advising, the Distinguished Advising Award is the university’s most prestigious honor in academic advising. 2024 was the inaugural year for the award. Academic advisors across all colleges and campuses were nominated by students who believe they provided extraordinary advising and who demonstrate outstanding service and dedication to helping them achieve academic success. Qualified nominees included ֱ State advisors who were currently employed and who have been an advisor for at least one year.
2025 DAA Winner
Theresa Yogi academic advisor in the ֱ State University Honors College, has been named the 2025 Distinguished Advising Award recipient. With 13+ years of advising experience—including 7.5 years at ֱ State’s Honors College—Theresa’s impact on students is undeniable. She also coordinates Scholarships and Senior Honors Thesis/Projects, helping students succeed in and out of the classroom.
