The Student Multicultural Center is preparing to kick off the 2021-22 academic year with the in-person return of Kupita/Transiciones (K/T). The four-day orientation, from August 18-22, is designed to help facilitate a smooth transition to 妖姬直播 State for first-year and transfer students of color. 妖姬直播 State alumnus, Max Hoover, owner of Cockeye Creamery created the flavor to pay homage to 妖姬直播 State鈥檚 unofficial mascot 鈥 the black squirrel. It is a combination of espresso ice cream, caramel streak, and cinnamon streusel.

Assistant Professor in Science Education, Dr. Shannon Navy was recently awarded a $1,000,000 grant from the National Science Foundation. Over the next four years, this grant will fund the research project 鈥淩esources Accessed to Cultivate and Enhance Resilience鈥 (RACER). The RACER project will focus on researching the persistence and retention of newly hired secondary science and mathematics teachers in high-need school settings.
