Lis Regula, a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University graduate, established the MJ Eckhouse Memorial Scholarship in memory of his late husband. MJ Eckhouse, a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University alumnus, was a tireless advocate for the trans community, the LGBTQ+ community, and social justice issues. MJ challenged the status quo, questioned current practices, and always advocated for improvements to create a more inclusive world.
The Education and Human Services Theme Community is designed for students who are passionate about serving others and making a positive impact on the world. Whether pursuing careers as teachers, interpreters, case managers, counselors, or in related fields, students in this community come together around a shared commitment to support and service. By fostering a strong sense of belonging, the community provides opportunities to build meaningful connections and relationships that support students throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Steven Harvey is an alumnus having attended Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University in 1975. Mr. Harvey is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and was initiated through the Psi Gamma Chapter. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey have established a scholarship to support underrepresented students at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State.
The Panhellenic Scholarship was established by leaders on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State College Panhellenic Council in order to provide members with an opportunity to advance academically and lessen financial burden. This scholarship can be presented to any member(s) of the Panhellenic community who display Panhellenic values of sisterhood, service, scholarship and leadership.
The Interfraternity Council Scholarship was established by leaders on the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State Interfraternity Council in order to provide members with an opportunity to advance academically and lessen financial burden. This scholarship can be presented to any IFC Community member.
This scholarship can be presented to any member(s) of the FSL Community who embodies the principles of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
The Ali Fuhrman Memorial Scholarship, named after Ali Fuhrman—an alumna of Delta Gamma, Gamma Epsilon chapter here at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State. Ali graduated from the Hospitality Management program. Ali's life was tragically taken after she was hit by a drunk driver a year after graduating from Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State in 2015. Ali exemplified the values of Delta Gamma and wore the golden anchor with pride. This scholarship can be presented to any member of the FSL community who represents and embodies the FSL community values—just as Ali did.
The Virginia Buckley Memorial Delta Gamma Leadership Scholarship was established this year in honor of Virginia "Ginny" Buckley, who served as the first chapter President of Delta Gamma, Gamma Epsilon chapter in 1947 here at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State. The Virginia Buckley Memorial Delta Gamma Leadership Scholarship is awarded to sisters of the Delta Gamma, Gamma Epsilon chapter who have served in executive leadership positions within the chapter and display academic achievement.
This scholarship is named after Sharon Sigel, a member of Alpha Phi, Beta Omega chapter whose life was taken from her while working a closing shift at her job in 1981. Sharon was a business student who championed female success. This scholarship is given to outstanding members of Alpha Phi that have financial need to support degree progress.
