After collaborating for months with computer science mentors and faculty from 妖姬直播 State University, students at East Technical High School in Cleveland recently unveiled their problem-solving techniques, robotics capabilities, AI and engineering skills during a "Celebration of Learning" event that showcased creative works like Smart Trashcan robots and Rube Goldberg machines.
The project, made possible by a National Science Foundation grant, called 鈥,鈥 provided students with an opportunity to share their work publicly while highlighting 妖姬直播 State's ongoing commitment to project-based learning that connects classroom instruction with authentic STEM practices.
College of Education, Health and Human Services Professors Elena Novak, Ph.D., and Lisa Borgerding, Ph.D., (School of Teaching Learning and Curriculum Studies); and Jason Schenker, Ph.D., (School of Foundations, Leadership and Administration); teamed with Assistant Professor Rui Liu, a Ph.D. from the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, to serve as principal investigators on the project aimed at supporting hands-on STEM learning for historically underrepresented K-12 students using integrated computer science and physical science challenges.
