KENT, Ohio – Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State University’s School of Art will present a series of free public artist lectures along with an exhibition as part of the 2026 Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Blossom Art Intensives. The events will connect students, artists and community members with nationally recognized visiting artists working in ceramics, jewelry/metals/enameling, painting, print media and photography, and sculpture and expanded media.
Each year, the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Blossom Art Intensives bring visiting artists to campus to work closely with students while also engaging the broader community through public programs. The free lectures offer insight into contemporary artistic practices, creative research and professional experiences across a range of visual art disciplines.
The Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ Blossom Art Intensives visiting artist lecture series will feature presentations by artists participating in this year’s intensives. All lectures are free and open to the public and will take place at 5 p.m. in the Center for the Visual Arts, 325 Terrace Drive, Room 165. Free parking is available for these events behind the Center for the Visual Arts in the R19 lot and in the adjacent R2 lot by the Business Administration Building, 475 Terrace Drive.
