Making a Difference for Future Generations

Planned gifts, and bequests in particular, are a vital form of philanthropy at Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State. These gifts make an important impact on our students and community, and they can be made in any amount, making them a great option for anyone interested in giving back.

Estate gifts have made a significant impact throughout Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State’s eight-campus system. Since 1997, planned gifts have provided nearly $10 million in student scholarship and programmatic support which help our remarkable students on their path to graduation.

Along with other forms of planned giving, including life insurance, charitable gift annuities, IRA rollovers and charitable trusts, bequests help you leave a meaningful legacy while supporting the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State scholarships, research and programs that are closest to your heart.

The Wallace J. Hagedorn Photography Scholarship is a planned gift that has impacted more than 200 photography students since 2015. Wallace Hagedorn was a Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State student in 1941, and years later, he created this scholarship through a bequest. This is the largest scholarship-focused gift received by the university, and it has provided students with $1.7 million in scholarship support to date.

Planned gifts can support every area across the university system, and they allow you to support the Ñý¼§Ö±²¥ State causes that mean the most to you. Many planned gifts come from alumni and donors in the arts or service fields who want to support future generations of Golden Flashes interested in following a similar career path or passion.

The decision to give a planned gift is a personal one, but it has the power to impact generations to come.
